How to Make a Splash at Your Tailgate Party with PickleSmash

How to Make a Splash at Your Tailgate Party with PickleSmash

Now that we are officially into the fall and football season, it’s time to get together with friends for tailgating! The sea of team colors, fresh fall air, friends and family playing cornhole, and the smell of the BBQ on the grill… it’s simply the best time of year. But this year, why not add a little bit of zing to your favorite tailgate dishes? Check out some of our favorite recipes that include PickleSmash salsa that will keep you cheering all season! No matter if you pick up the product because you love salsa or pickles or both, it’s a flavor-packed ingredient that you can use beyond a condiment.

PickleSmash Deviled Eggs

These deviled eggs will stand out on any potluck table. Spiced with a little Dijon mustard and a spoonful of PickleSmash salsa, these babies pack the perfect punch.

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Several tablespoons PickleSmash Salsa (mild, medium, or hot), to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully place the eggs in the water using tongs or a ladle. Set a timer for 14 minutes.
  2. While the eggs are boiling, prepare an ice-water bath in a bowl and set aside.
  3. After 14 minutes, remove the eggs from the water and place in the ice water bath.
  4. Once the eggs have cooled completely, peel them and slice in half lengthwise. Remove the yolk to a small bowl with a spoon and place the egg whites on a plate.

Mash the yolks with a fork and add the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and PickleSmash Salsa, using about 1 teaspoon per egg. Stir everything together.

Use a spoon to add a portion of the deviled egg mixture back into the hole of each egg white. OR fill a sandwich bag with the mixture and cut a small hole in the corner to easily squeeze into egg whites. You can also use a piping bag if you have one. Sprinkle on paprika for garnish.
